Tbilisi Tour, SARAJISHVILI- brandy factory.
Visit of the most important sights of Tbilisi: Anchiskhati church (6th century), Sioni cathedral (575- 639), Metekhi church (13th century), located on the rock by the river Mtkvari, the oriental spa district, Narikala fortress (4th century) Century), with a wide view of the whole city. Further visit Sameba Cathedral - the Holy Trinity Cathedral (2004), which is called the building of the millennium. Walk along the path of the old Silk Road and Rustaveli Avenue. In the afternoon visit the Treasury of the Historical Museum (goldsmith's art from the time of the Golden Fleece). Afterwards, visit SARAJISHVILI- brandy factory.

Day 2: Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Kutaisi
Mtskheta, Jvari Monastery, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Winery CHATEAU MUKHRANI
Drive to the ancient capital Mtskheta at the intersection of Military and Silk Road. Visit Jvari- (Cross) Monastery (585-605). Here on this hill, Nino, who introduced Christianity in Georgia in the fourth century, erected a monumental cross, a triumphal sign of the Christianization of the country. Next visit to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century). The cathedral of the life-giving pillar-swetitskhoveli was for centuries the coronation and burial site of the Georgian monarchs and was regarded as the main church of the Georgian Orthodox Apostle Church. Then visit a Georgian market in the city of Mtskheta. Afterwards drive to the winery CHATEAU MUKHRANI, here you will learn the history of producing Georgian wine and delightful Georgian wine. Continue west to Kutaisi.

Day 3: Kutaisi, Mestia
Monastery complex Gelati, up to the Great Caucasus
After breakfast visit the monastery complex Gelati (1106), the most beautiful sacral building complex consists of three churches, a bell tower and the building of the academy. The foundation stone for the Academy of Gelati was laid by King Dawit VI. In the year 1106. According to his plan there was to be a second Athens. The landscape is as magnificent as if Gelati had grown into nature. Then drive to Mestia.

Day 4: Mestia, Ushguli
Ushguli, "Lamaria" Church, Ethnographic Museum
The journey or hike to the village of Ushguli is a journey through a landscape called Indian summer in Svaneti. But this is no longer a landscape, it is a total work of art. A five-hour, six-hour, non-strenuous hike leads you to the origin of the legendary River Enguri. The mountain village of Uschguli, where time has stood still, and has a legendary place in Georgia, fascinates by its picturesque scenery in unspoilt nature. From here, walk to the "Lamaria" church (10th century), visit the Ethnographic Museum. Back to Mestia.

Visit the town of Batumi, walk along the beach promenade. Dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 7: Batumi, Kutaisi
Gonio fortress, Petras fortress
Free time, afternoon sightseeing of the Gonio fortress. The castle was formerly called Apsaros, probably the first Roman fortress in Georgia. Later occupied the place the Byzantines and Ottomans. The 900 meter long and up to 5 meter high wall with 18 of the 22 watchtowers have been preserved to this day. On the way back to Kutaisi visit the Petra’s fortress. The fortified city had an important military-strategic and economic importance. Here ran the most important highway. The castle is situated on a hill on the Black Sea. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Black Sea. Drive to Kutaisi

Day 8: Kutaisi, Uplistsikhe, Gori, Gudauri
Bagrat temple, museum of Josef Jugaschvili, cave town Uplistsikhe
After breakfast visit the Bagrat Temple (1003). The cathedral was built in 1003 by king Bagrat III, on a hill west of Ukimerioni. For the Georgians, the Church is the symbol of a unified, Christian Georgia. Afterwards drive to Gori, visit the museum of Josef Jugaschvili (on request), then visit the cave town Uplistsikhe. It is the oldest cave town in Georgia. Uplistsikhe has been inhabited since the end of the second century BC until the 18th century. The entire area now offers visitors a stroll along the ancient streets, the theater, a pharmacy, royal rooms, pagan temples and a Christian basilica church. (About 2 hours). Drive to the ski resort Gudauri.

Day 9: Gudauri, Kazbegi, Tbilisi
Gergeti’s Sameba, Darial Gorge, Darial Monastery
From Gudauri Drive to Kazbegi. Hike (approx. 3-4 hrs.) or trip to Trinity Church Gergeti’s Sameba (14th century, approx. 2.000m). If you are standing in front of Kazbek (5.047m) and looking up to this impressive mountain, you will soon notice that it is here on a mythical mountain. In the afternoon drive along the river Terek to the gloomy deep and legendary Darial Gorge to the border of the Russian Federation. Afterwards visit a newly built monastery complex next to the border crossing. Return to Tbilisi.
