For entry into Georgia, a visa is not required for the German citizen, as well as for nationals of the following countries (all citizens of the EU, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, Israel and USA).
German nationals need a passport valid for 6 months beyond the end of the trip.
Currency and foreign exchange regulations
The national currency in Georgia is called Lari (GEL). A one Lari is 100 Tetri. The exchange of money from Euro to Lari is possible in all banks or exchange offices. There are EC machines in all cities in Georgia. The most popular are MasterCard, VISA and American Express.
Time Difference

Medicines you need every day should be bought already in your home country and carried in sufficient quantity in your hand luggage during the entire journey, preferably with a medical certificate.
Climate and Clothing
Georgia is characterized by a continental climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters in the interior, and a mild, maritime climate with warm, humid summers and rather short, snowy winters in the coastal areas. In the summer the average temperature is 30 ° C, in winter at 8 ° C.
It is recommended to wear comfortable and hard wearing clothes. For the summer time one should have light summer clothes. A warm jacket and a warm sweater should not be missed during the summer months. Otherwise, transitional clothing and a rain jacket are all year round. Especially important is the footwear. It should be very comfortable and also hard wearing.
Power supply

Language
The official language in Georgia is Georgian. Besides, young people speak English, older generation Russian. The other languages, such as German, French, Armenian, however, are little used.
Safety
In the country, the crime rate is relatively low, the police are patrolling carefully, and most of Georgia is very well aware of its proverbial reputation as an excellent host. But I ask you to pay attention to your personal belongings.
Photography / movies
In some museums, galleries or churches photographing is forbidden, others may not be used. It must be asked for permission to take pictures. Photographs and video recordings of police and military installations as well as installations of strategic importance are not permitted. Most of the locals respond kindly if you want to take photographs, but you should always ask for their permission beforehand.
