Day 1: Tbilisi - legendary old town

Day 2: Wine country of Kakheti
Batonis tsikhe, Gremi Fortress, Nekresi Monastery

Day 4:On the old caravan trail
Mtskheta Tour, Jvari Monastery, the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Ananuri Fortress
Drive to the ancient capital Mtskheta at the intersection of military- and Silk Road. Visit the Jvari- (Cross) Monastery (585-605). Here on this hill, Nino, who introduced Christianity in Georgia in the fourth century, erected a monumental cross, a triumphal sign of the Christianization of the country. Next visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century). The cathedral of the life-giving pillar-svetitskhhoveli was for centuries the coronation and burial site of the Georgian monarchs and was regarded as the main church of the Georgian Orthodox Apostle Church. After the tour in the Ananuri fortress (16th-18th century), ride over the ski resort Gudauri to Kazbegi.

Day 5: On the roots of Western mythology

Day 6: Travel to the Little Caucasus

Drive to the cave town Vardzia (12th-13th century). The cave complex, which had been completely hidden in the rock, was built on several floors, steeply above the river Mtkvari. It consisted of 3,000 cave dwellings connected by tunnels, stairs, terraces and galleries, as well as a church, library and bakeries (About 3 hours). Undoubtedly one of the highlights of any trip through Georgia. Return to Akhaltsikhe.

Monastery complex Gelati, Bagrat temple, Prometheus cave
Visit the monastery complex Gelati (1106). The most beautiful sacral building complex consists of three churches, a bell tower and the building of the academy. Mestia, Dadiani Palace

Day 11: The highest populated village in Europe - Ushguli
Ushguli, "Lamaria" Church, visit the Ethnographic Museum.
The journey or hike to the village of Ushguli is a journey through a landscape called Indian summer in Svaneti. But this is no longer a landscape, it is a total work of art. A five-hour, six-hour, non-strenuous hike leads you to the origin of the legendary River Inguri. Day 14: Beauty on the Black Sea coast
Batumi Botanical Garden, Ubisa Church
Visit the botanical garden with its varied subtropical flora, which extends on a hill chain along the sea coast, is an interesting excursion destination. Here you can relax from the summer heat very well. On the way back to Tiflis to visit the Ubisa church (9th century) with particularly beautiful 13th century frescoes.
