Georgia is a Christian country. Georgian church is called Georgian Orthodox Apostle Church. Patriarch of the Church is Ilia II. Approx. 84% of the population belongs to the autocephalous Georgian Orthodox Apostle Church. In the country are the Muslim inhabitants, Jews, Catholics, evangelists. Everyone can freely practice their own faith.
