Day 1: Tour of Tbilisi
Old Town Tbilisi, Ethnographial Museum
The tour of the most important sights of Tbilisi: Anchiskhati church (6th century) Sioni cathedral (575- 639), Metekhi church (13th century), sulfur baths, Narikala fortress (4th century), walk along the path of the ancient Silk Road and Rustaveli Avenue. Further visit Sameba Cathedral - the Holy Trinity Cathedral (2004), which is called the building of the millennium. In the afternoon visit the Ethnographical Museum at the Turtle Lake.

Day 2: Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Kutaisi
Old Mtskheta, Jvari Monastery, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Bishop's Cathedral of Samtavisi
Drive to the ancient capital Mtskheta at the intersection of Military and Silk Road. Visit Jvari- (Cross) Monastery (585-605). Here on this hill, Nino, who introduced Christianity in Georgia in the fourth century, erected a monumental cross, a triumphal sign of the Christianization of the country. Next visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century). The cathedral of the life-giving pillar-svetitskhoveli was for centuries the coronation and burial site of the Georgian monarchs and was regarded as the main church of Georgian Orthodox Apostle Church. Afterwards visit the Bishop's Cathedral of Samtavisi (11th century). It is one of the more modest representatives of Georgian monumental structures of high medieval age. Particularly famous is the church with its magnificent sculpture on the east façade, which is a grapevine tree. Then drive west to Kutaisi.

Day 3: Kutaisi, Batumi
Gelati Monastery, Bagrati Temple, Kutaisi
After breakfast visit the monastery complex Gelati (1106), the most beautiful sacral building complex consists of three churches, a bell tower and the building of the academy. The foundation stone for the Academy of Gelati was laid by King Davit VI in the year 1106. According to his plan there was to be a second Athens. The landscape is as magnificent as if Gelati had grown into nature. The Bagrat Temple (1003) was built in 1003 by King Bagrat III, on a hill west of Ukimerioni. The two sacred buildings belong to UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage. Small walk in Kutaisi. Afterwards drive to the black sea

Visit the town of Batumi, walk along the beach promenade. In the evening free time for your own discovery in Batumi.

Day 5: Batumi, Kutaisi
Prometheus cave, Nokalakevi
After breakfast return to Kutaisi. Visit Prometheus Cave. It is at least 50,000 years old and one of the largest in the world. The cave is rich in numerous stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers and lakes. There are even whole drip walls. During the visit, visitors will walk 1.4 km on foot. At the end you can enjoy a 280-meter boat trip on the underground lake in the cave. Afterwards visit the excavations of Nokalakevi. Return to Kutaisi.

Day 6: Kutaisi, Uplistsikhe, Gori, Tbilisi
Ubisa church, museum of Josef Jugaschvili, cave town Uplistsikhe
On the way back to Tiflis to visit the Ubisa church (9th century) with particularly beautiful 13th century frescoes. Afterwards drive to Gori. Visit the museum of Joseph Jugashvili (on request), then visit the cave town Uplistsikhe. It is the oldest cave town in Georgia. Uplistsikhe has been inhabited since the end of the second millenium BC until the 18th century. The entire area now offers visitors a stroll along the ancient streets, the theater, a pharmacy, royal rooms, pagan temples and a Christian basilica church. (About 2 hours). Drive to Tbilisi.
