Day 1: Tour of Tbilisi
Old Town Tbilisi, Historical Museum, SARAJISHVILI brandy factory
Visit the most important sights of Tbilisi: Anchiskhati church (6th century) Sioni cathedral (575- 639), Metekhi church (13th century), the oriental spa district, Narikala Fortress (4th century) Over the whole city. Walk along the path of the old Silk Road and Rustaveli Avenue. Further visit Sameba Cathedral - the Holy Trinity Cathedral (2004), which is named as the building of the millennium. In the afternoon visit the Treasury of the Historical Museum (goldsmith's art from the time of the Golden Fleece). Afterwards, visit SARAJISHVILI- brandy factory.

Day 2: Tbilisi, Mtskheta, family winery, Gudauri
Mtskheta tour, Jvari monastery, Svetitskkhoveli cathedral, family winery, Ananuri fortress
After breakfast, drive to the ancient capital of Mtskheta at the intersection of Military and Silk Road. Visit the Jvari- (Cross) Monastery (585-605). Next visit to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century). The cathedral of the life-giving pillar-svetitskhoveli was for centuries the coronation and burial site of the Georgian monarchs and was regarded as the main church of the Georgian Orthodox Apostle Church. Then visit Georgian market in the city of Mtskheta. Afterwards drive to a family winery, where you will get to know the Georgian hospitality and Georgian table traditions and taste delicious Georgian wine. After visit of the Ananuri fortress (16th-18th century), drive to the ski resort Gudauri.

Day 3: Gudauri, Kazbegi, Gudauri
Gergeti Sameba, Gveleti waterfall, Darial Gorge, Darial monastery
After breakfast, drive to Kazbegi, hike (about 2-3 hours) or trip to Trinity Church of Gerget’s Sameba (14th century, about 2.000m). If you are standing in front of Kazbek (5.047m) and looking up to this impressive mountain, you will soon notice that it is here on a mythical mountain. Afterwards hike to the Gveleti waterfall. (About 1 hour, 30 minutes). In the afternoon drive along the river Terek to the gloomy deep and legendary Darial gorge to the border of the Russian Federation. Afterwards visit a newly built monastery complex next to the border crossing. Return to Gudauri.

Day 4: Gudauri, Gori, Uplistsikhe, Kutaisi
Museum of Joseph Stalin, cave town Uplistsikhe
In the morning drive to Gori, the birthplace of Stalin. The city of Gori is located at the mouth of the river Liakhvi and Mtkvari. In the 20th century, Gori was known as the birthplace of Joseph Jugashvili, alias Koba alias Stalin, the steels, and to this day the city is an architectural image of the Soviet era. Visit Stalin Museum (on request). Then drive to Uplistsikhe. It is the oldest cave town in Georgia (since the end of the second century BC). The entire area now offers visitors a stroll along the ancient streets, the theater, a pharmacy, royal rooms, pagan temples and Christian basilica church (about 2 hours). Drive west to Kutaisi.

Day 5: Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Mestia
Monastery complex Gelati, Dadiani Palace
Visit the monastery complex Gelati (1106). The most beautiful sacral building complex consists of three churches, a bell tower and the building of the academy. The landscape is as magnificent as if Gelati had grown into nature. Afterwards, the trip to the provincial town of Mestia, on the way visit Dadiani Palace in Sugdidi. The palace includes a castle with court church and a botanical garden. Since 1921, the city "Museum of History and Folklore" has housed over 41,000 objects from the princely family Dadiani.

Day 6: Ushguli- the highest village in Europe, Mestia
Ushguli, "Lamaria" Church, Ethnographic Museum.
The journey or hike to the village of Ushguli is a journey through a landscape called Indian summer in Svaneti. But this is no longer a landscape, it is a total work of art. A five-hour, six-hour, non-strenuous hike leads you to the origin of the legendary River Enguri. The mountain village of Ushguli, where time has stood still, and has a legendary place in Georgia, fascinates by its picturesque scenery in unspoiled nature. From here you can walk to the "Lamaria" church (10th century), then visit the ethnographic museum. Back to Mestia.

Day 7: Mestia, Kutaisi
Machubi Family Museum, Mikhail-Khergiani Museum, Latali Church
Walking through the provincial town of Mestia. Visit the Machubi Family Museum, where you will get to know the old life, customs and culture of Svans. Machubi is a large space next to a traditional defensive tower. Until the end of the 19th century, Machubi served as a common living space for humans and animals. Afterwards visit the Mikhail-Khergiani Museum. An alpine museum dedicated to the great indigenous mountaineer Mikhail Khergiani, the "tiger of the mountains," represents the daily life of Svans. The museum guide proudly reports on the most famous mountaineers of the Caucasus. On the way to Kutaisi visit the Church of the Savior (11th century) in the Swanen village of Latali.

Day 8: Kutaisi, Tbilisi
Drive to Tbilisi, afternoon visit a flea market on the river Mtkwari in Tbilisi. Free time for your own pleasure. Dinner in a traditional Georgian restaurant with folklore program.
